Head - Design & Costing (Air Pollution Control Equipment)
Product Range:
PP / FRP Wet Scrubber Systems, Dust Collector Systems, PP / FRP Blowers, PP / FRP Tanks, FRP Ducting, Industrial Air Pollution Control Equipment.
Position Summary
The Design & Costing Head will be responsible for leading the design, engineering, costing, and estimation activities for Air Pollution Control (APC) equipment. The role involves technical evaluation, preparation of techno-commercial proposals, cost optimization, and coordination with production, purchase, and project teams to ensure accurate design and competitive costing.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design Understanding of APC Equipment
> Provide technical leadership in the design and application of Air Pollution Control equipment including Wet Scrubbers, Dust Collectors, FRP/PP Blowers, Storage Tanks, and Ducting systems.
> Review customer specifications, tender documents, GA drawings, P&ID, and process data to finalize suitable equipment configuration and material selection.
>Ensure proper selection of materials such as PP, FRP, PVC, MS, SS, and allied components based on chemical compatibility, temperature, pressure, and operating conditions.
2. Costing and Estimation of APC Equipment
>Lead preparation of detailed cost estimates covering raw materials, bought-out components, fabrication, machining, assembly, testing, and installation.
>Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) from drawings and technical inputs for scrubbers, dust collectors, blowers, tanks, and ducting systems.
>Prepare techno-commercial offers, review costing accuracy, and ensure competitive pricing while maintaining required technical standards and margins.
Preferred Qualification
> AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Costing, Estimation
> Mechanical / Chemical Engineering
> Experience in FRP / PP / APC Equipment / Pollution Control Systems, 8–15 years experience.
Tentative CTC - 15 -20 LPA
