About the Role
Aldecor Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a highly capable and design-oriented Design Associate with an Architecture background to work closely with our Director.
This is a high-trust role for someone with strong design ability, visual thinking, emotional intelligence and a proactive approach. The individual will work directly with the Director across design development, client interactions, site visits, presentations, project coordination and special assignments, while working closely with the wider Design and Project Teams. The ideal candidate should be comfortable taking ownership, adapting to changing priorities and travelling with the Director when required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design Development
- Develop design concepts and detailed design solutions based on project requirements.
- Develop 2D space planning options, layouts, elevations, sections and design details.
- Prepare design presentations, mood boards, material palettes and visual references.
- Translate design ideas into practical and execution-oriented solutions.
- Support the development and refinement of design proposals based on feedback.
2. Working Drawings & Technical Support
- Prepare and update working and GFC drawings as required.
- Develop detailed drawings including furniture layouts, ceilings, partitions, flooring and joinery.
- Coordinate drawings with MEP and other technical requirements.
- Ensure drawings are accurate, coordinated and execution-ready.
- Maintain proper drawing revisions and version control.
3. Direct Support to the Director
- Work closely with the Director on design and project-related assignments.
- Understand the Director's requirements and translate them into drawings, presentations and actionable outputs.
- Assist with preparation for client meetings, design reviews and project discussions.
- Participate in design discussions and incorporate the Director's feedback.
- Handle confidential information and sensitive discussions with maturity and discretion.
- Take ownership of assignments and ensure timely completion.
4. Client & Team Coordination
- Attend internal and external meetings with the Director when required.
- Assist with client presentations and design discussions.
- Coordinate with Junior Architects, Project Managers, site teams, consultants and vendors.
- Understand client feedback and support timely design revisions.
- Follow up on design-related requirements and pending actions.
5. Site Visits & Project Exposure
- Accompany the Director and/or design team for site visits when required.
- Understand site conditions and assist in resolving design-related challenges.
- Coordinate with site teams regarding drawings, revisions and design clarifications.
- Support the team in maintaining design intent during execution.
6. Collaboration with Design Team
- Work closely with Junior Architects and other members of the Design Team.
- Support design development, detailing and drawing requirements.
- Review and refine design outputs before presentation to the Director.
- Contribute to internal design discussions and problem-solving.
7. Presentation & Visualisation
- Prepare professional presentations, mood boards and design concepts.
- Coordinate with 3D visualisation teams to ensure outputs reflect the intended design.
- Develop visual references and presentation material for client and internal discussions.
8. Travel & Special Assignments
- Be willing to travel with the Director for client meetings, site visits, project reviews and other business requirements.
- Assist the Director with design-related information, presentations and documentation required for meetings.
- Be flexible in handling time-sensitive and priority assignments.
What We Are Looking For
- B.Arch
- 0–2 years of experience; exceptional freshers may also be considered.
- Strong design sense and spatial understanding.
- Excellent visual and creative thinking.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD,Enscape and SketchUp.
- Enscape / D5 Render knowledge is an advantage.
- Highly trustworthy, dependable and discreet.
- Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, organised and willing to take ownership.
- Comfortable working directly with senior leadership.
- Willing to travel when required.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
