Job Summary
The Design Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and improvement of products or systems from concept to production. They apply engineering principles to ensure products are high-quality, functional, and meet cost/safety standards.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Design Development: Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and technical specifications using CAD software.
Prototyping Testing: Develop, build, and test prototypes, evaluating performance and safety standards.
Research Analysis: Analyze market trends and user requirements to inform design improvements.
Manufacturing Support: Collaborate with production teams to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM).
Documentation: Maintain detailed engineering records, bills of materials (BOM), and technical reports.
Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including marketing, purchasing, and manufacturing.
