Description
Desert Heights Charter Schools is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Technician to join our established maintenance team and community. You will perform basic repairs, preventative maintenance and landscaping duties. To do well in this role you should have previous experience in maintenance, be highly skilled with various hand and power tools, and be able to use basic landscaping tools.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment
- Complete maintenance tickets, including minor plumbing, electrical work and painting
- Assist with landscaping needs on property
- Handling basic repairs and maintenance
- Set up, clean up and re-set up rooms used for special events on campus
- Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary
- Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them
- Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary
- Walk the property and parking lot to check for maintenance needs and cleanliness
Technician Requirements:
- Proven maintenance experience
- Able to obtain fingerprint clearance card. Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
- Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts. Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches
- Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices
- Paint, patch, and drywall repair. Minor electrical repairs when needed. HVAC experience a plus but not required. Experience performing routine maintenance
- Strong organizational and follow up skills
- Eye for detail
- Professional presentation and attitude
- Ability to maintain focus while working individually. Strong time management skills
- Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
