Job Title : Deputy Manager – Research
Job Location: Noida
Job Summary:
Sambodhi is currently looking to hire Deputy Managers – Research from campuses across India to provide technical and operational support to our evaluation, research and technical assistance projects across India. The position is based at Sambodhi head office in Delhi-NCR and involves extensive travel. The work-mix includes project management, execution and business development. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to contribute to high quality multi-input development programs.
The role requires working closely with internal teams and clients to ensure rigorous research design, high-quality data collection, insightful analysis, and timely delivery of outputs. Additionally, the position contributes to organizational growth through active involvement in proposal development and knowledge building.
Essential Functions:
The candidate will perform the following key functions:
1.Project Delivery & Quality Assurance
- Support end-to-end project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and client expectations.
- Conduct field practice sessions and debriefings to ensure accuracy, reliability, and integrity of data collection.
- Design and oversee data analysis plans and protocols, ensuring robust and insightful outputs.
- Prepare comprehensive, high-quality reports that effectively communicate research findings and actionable insights.
- Maintain clear, timely, and professional communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Proactively identify risks and implement solutions to minimize delays and ensure smooth project delivery.
2.Business Development & Revenue Support
- Contribute to the development of high-quality business proposals in response to RFPs and EOIs, supporting the SBU’s revenue growth objectives.

Desired profile:
Education
Postgraduate degree in specialized field of Agriculture, Rural Management, Social Sciences, Social Work, Public Policy, Economics, or related discipline
Experience
1-3 years of progressively responsible experience in Social Research & Advisory or M&E in Agriculture domain is preferred
Personal Competencies:
- Knowledge of Research, Evaluation, Data Analysis and related aspects
- Thematic understanding of agriculture sector in the social and development domain
- Ability to lead, plan and manage a complex set of activities
- Ability to operate effectively in teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel extensively
- High level of involvement, engagement and ownership
- Strong time management skill and ability to prioritize
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation ability
