Role Description The Deputy Manager Operations is a full-time, hybrid role based in Firozpur, with the flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. This role oversees day-to-day project field and operation and maintenance activities, including new feasibility planning for new project route and other operators likes Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, BSNL and Other local ISP, resource allocation, and workflow optimization to meet output, quality, and safety targets. The Deputy Manager Operations monitors performance metrics, coordinates with cross-functional teams such as engineering, quality, supply chain, and maintenance, and ensures adherence to operational standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include identifying process improvement opportunities, supporting implementation of lean and cost-optimization initiatives, and ensuring timely reporting and documentation. The role also involves mentoring team members, resolving operational issues, and supporting senior management in strategic planning and execution for continuous improvement of operations.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in operations management, production planning, and process optimization.
- Experience with quality management, safety standards, and compliance in a manufacturing or telecom environment.
- Proficiency in data analysis, performance metrics tracking, and use of tools such as Excel or ERP/MIS systems.
- Strong people management, team coordination, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing or similar methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Prior experience in optical fiber, telecom products, or high-tech manufacturing operations is highly beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to work effectively in a hybrid work setup.
