We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance professional to lead and manage maintenance activities for critical material handling systems at our terminal operations.
🔍 Role Overview
This role is responsible for ensuring high equipment availability through effective preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanized systems, while maintaining safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Execute preventive & predictive maintenance of:
- Ship Unloaders (SUL)
- Stacker Cum Reclaimers
- High-speed conveyor systems
- DSS, FFS and other bulk handling equipment
- Perform condition monitoring of mechanical components
- Carry out drive alignment using laser / dial gauge methods
- Manage breakdown repairs of material handling systems
- Execute belt jointing (hot & cold vulcanizing) and pulley lagging
- Ensure proper usage of SAP PM & MM modules and maintenance reporting
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for smooth O&M operations
- Minimize equipment downtime through timely intervention
📋 Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure adherence to GPCB guidelines (Air, Water, Land)
- Maintain high standards of safety at terminal operations
- Prepare and maintain:
- Preventive maintenance reports
- Breakdown notifications & incident reports
- MTBF, MTTF, equipment reliability data
- Condition monitoring records
🤝 Stakeholder Interaction
- Daily coordination with Area In-charge, CRE, and Cargo Documentation teams
- Cross-functional collaboration for seamless plant operations
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 8–10 years of total experience with 4–6 years in relevant roles
🧠 Skills Required
- Strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering
- Hands-on experience in heavy equipment / bulk material handling systems
- Good communication skills (Hindi & English)
- Working knowledge of SAP (PM/MM modules)
