Role Objective
To lead and drive project sales business by managing Project Sales Officers and strengthening relationships with Architects, Interior Designers, Design & Build firms, Consultants, Contractors, and key decision-makers. The role is responsible for creating a strong project pipeline, increasing specification conversions, ensuring project closures, improving team productivity, and delivering sustainable sales growth within the assigned geography.
Job Responsibilities
Project Sales Achievement & Business Growth
- Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual project sales targets.
- Develop and execute territory/project business plans.
- Monitor project pipeline and ensure achievement of sales objectives.
- Increase contribution of project business to total sales.
Team Management & Productivity
- Lead, guide, and manage Project Sales Officers.
- Conduct joint field working and customer meetings.
- Review performance, activity levels, and productivity.
- Develop team capability through training.
Influencer Network Development (Ar/ID/D&B/PMC)
- Develop relationships with Architects, Interior Designers, Design & Build firms, Consultants, and key influencers.
- Guide the team on conducting Learning sessions at Ar./ID/PMC/D&B venues to educate them on Merino Portfolio.
- Increase Enquiries/specification opportunities through influencer engagement.
Specification Generation & Conversion
- Drive specification activities and monitor project opportunities.
- Ensure effective follow-up and conversion of specifications into orders.
- Participate in key project discussions for large opportunities.
Project Identification & Tracking
- Ensure identification of upcoming projects in residential, commercial, hospitality, institutional, and retail segments.
- Review project progress and monitor project lifecycle.
- Ensure accurate project tracking and forecasting.
Coordination with Contractors, Dealers & Internal Teams
- Ensure coordination between Specification team (wherever applicable), Project Sales Officers, dealer teams, contractors, and OEM/channel teams.
- Support pricing through Pricing Committee and business closure activities.
- Work closely with Specification team for the conversion of the Specifications and update in SFDC.
Site Visits & Project Execution Monitoring
- Participate in key site visits and project reviews.
- Ensure the closure of any customer complaints at the sites.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and product performance.
CRM/SFDC Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure CRM/SFDC discipline within the team.
- Review sales funnel, project status, and forecast pipeline.
- Conduct monthly business reviews.
