Role Objective
He/She shall possess strong drafting skills and should be comfortable to independently handle litigation management, negotiations with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to handle multiple high value transactions, good grasp of commercial laws, regulations, legal concepts. Experience with dealing with high value commercial litigations, court process, arbitration etc.
Role Responsibilities
· Experience in litigation handling in various courts across India including district courts, consumer forums, arbitration, high court and dealing with external lawyers;
· Assisting in various due diligence activities of the Company, risk mitigation, compliance risk assessment, incident management, document retention;
· Strong knowledge of civil procedure code, corporate law and other applicable rules;
· Research and advisory for various business operations of the Company;
· Coordinate, collaborate with internal stakeholders of the Company from time to time;
· Drafting, reviewing and understanding negotiations of agreement(s), contract(s), and document(s) based on the requirements from business /other internal team on case-to-case basis and providing legal inputs to internal stakeholders, advisory about the various legal risks and actionable, if any that may be required;
· Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, police officers, public authority etc.), creating relations of trust;
· Developing risk mitigation strategies and collaborate with other departments to ensure effective risk management.
Work Experience
LLB with 4-5+ years of experience in a fast-paced organization
Strong proficiency in drafting and communication, with the ability to produce accurate and concise reports, minutes, and documents.
Proficiency in interpreting legal provisions and applying them to business contexts.
Extensive experience in legal role, with a proven track record of managing litigation, compliance matters, including drafting, vetting and negotiating contracts, agreements.
In-depth knowledge of corporate laws, regulatory requirements, and governance principles.
Education
Degree in law (LLB) from a reputed University is a must.
