About the Role
- Preparation of relevant data and information for decision making in compliant manner.
- Represent Indirect Procurement for the specific commodities, wherever necessary.
- Support and prepare status reports for Department Head/ Category manager/ Senior buyer.
- Ensure accurate information in all reports and communications.
- Optimize information systems and processes with other business units.
- Achieve savings targets and KPIs established by VWITS and VW Group Board as applicable.
- Coordinate & work with functions in VWITS for effective planning & execution of purchasing activities.
- Preparation and monitoring of daily / weekly / strategic activities independently and along with the respective Head.
- Timely approval of Bidders List, send RFQ, receive quotations, organize technical approvals and Shopping cart.
- Get the new suppliers registered into B2B system, KSRM & SAP (documentation, follow up etc.).
- Work cohesively with Purchasing colleagues from SAVWIPL and other entities for necessary support in benchmarking, negotiation strategies, negotiations etc. and on RSC topics, wherever applicable.
- Prepare price comparisons, benchmarking and plan the price negotiations (internal reviews, benchmarking, strategy etc.).
- Prepare and conduct price negotiations with the suppliers.
- Support the cost saving initiatives and alternate sourcing etc.
- Preparation and participation in Local Pre-meetings (ISC), RSC (Regional sourcing committee), Pre-Meetings (WOB), Corporate Sourcing Committee (CSC) meetings and other decision-making forums.
- Obtaining approval of relevant topics from respective Head in KSRM and Globe (as per the approved limits).
- Prepare Purchase Orders in KSRM and/or SAP and take necessary approvals. Accordingly send to the Suppliers and business users.
- Handle Purchase Order change management.
- Responsible for implementation of ISO standards/ Group standards (from procurement perspective) if needed.
- Liasioning with Users, Finance etc. for Supplier related issues.
- Adherence to the applicable VWITS and / or VW Group processes and procedures.
- Timely escalation of the issues (if any) to the respective Head.
- Hands-on experience in projects related to Utilizing Artificial Intelligence in procurement and Projects related to Civil & Interior, IT Infra, Leasing of space and assets will be considered an added advantage.
Experience - 5 to 10 years
