Growing from a tight-knit team to approximately 70 employees, we thrive in an entrepreneurial atmosphere where personal ownership, clear communication, and high drive produce winning results.
Role Overview The Deputy Manager – HR will own the end-to-end people operations framework at Swa, serving as a dual force bridging high-volume talent acquisition with tight HR operations. You will be responsible for sourcing top-tier sales, marketing, production, and mixology talent while standardizing our internal HR processes—including payroll compliance, performance management, and organizational hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Recruitment & Talent Pipelines:
- Lead full-cycle recruitment across all departments (Sales, Marketing, Beverage Innovation, Production, and Product R&D).
- Design aggressive sourcing strategy pipelines via LinkedIn, active job boards, industry networks, and headhunting to source specialized roles (e.g., Beverage Innovation Officers or Regional Sales Managers).
- Screen, interview, and manage candidate coordination, offering a world-class candidate experience that reflects Swa's premium brand identity.
- Onboarding & Banding Implementation:
- Structure and execute a seamless onboarding process that integrates new hires into Swa's fast-paced start-up culture.
- Ensure candidate induction, ensuring job roles, clear compensation brackets, and hierarchy milestones are transparent and well-documented.
- Core HR Operations & Compliance:
- Supervise daily shop-floor and corporate HR administrative activities across our Hoodi factory and office locations.
- Manage attendance systems, leave trackers, and coordinate with finance for error-free monthly payroll processing.
- Maintain precise employee files and ensure robust statutory compliance regarding labor laws, factory guidelines, and FSSAI-adjacent workplace protocols.
- Performance Management & Culture:
- Anchor the quarterly and annual Performance Management System (PMS), working alongside department heads to lock in actionable KPIs and key parameters for team advancement.
- Act as a reliable focal point for employee relations, resolving workplace issues, collecting structured feedback, and sustaining a transparent culture with minimal hierarchy.
- Learning and Development:
- Design and roll out structured training frameworks, including product training for sales teams, mixology masterclass onboarding for new innovation specialists, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) alignment for production crews.
- Work closely with department heads to identify skills gaps and execute development programs that prepare high-potential employees to step into higher-level bands as the company scales.
Requirements & Attributes
- 4–6 years of comprehensive HR experience, balancing recruitment speed with strong operational grounding—ideally gained in a high-growth F&B, start-up, FMCG, or retail environment.
- Educational Qualification: MBA or Master's degree in Human Resources / Personnel Management preferred.
- Deep practical knowledge of modern sourcing strategies, performance management cycles, and Indian labor laws/payroll basics.
- Highly structured with strong project management skills; fluent in utilizing HR tools, ATS, and the MS Office suite (Excel is mandatory).
- A high-hustle, empathetic professional capable of interacting with multiple tiers of workforce members—from shop-floor production crew to regional sales leadership and co-founders.
