Key Responsibilities
- Conduct fundamental and/or technical analysis of equities, sectors, and markets
- Prepare detailed research reports, investment notes, and market updates
- Track macroeconomic indicators, industry trends, and company developments
- Analyze financial statements, earnings results, valuations, and risk factors
- Provide stock recommendations and investment strategies to internal teams and clients
- Support Portfolio Managers, Dealers, and Relationship Managers with research inputs
- Participate in earnings calls, analyst meets, and management interactions
- Monitor portfolio performance and suggest rebalancing strategies
- Ensure compliance with SEBI regulations and internal research policies
- Mentor junior analysts and coordinate research activities as required
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Proficiency in valuation techniques (DCF, Relative Valuation, etc.)
- Knowledge of capital markets, equity research, and investment products
- Ability to interpret financial statements and economic data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation and report-writing abilities
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and research tools (Bloomberg, Reuters, etc.)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Educational Qualifications
- MBA (Finance) / CA / CFA / FRM or equivalent qualification
- NISM Research Analyst Certification (mandatory or to be obtained)
Experience
- 4–7 years of relevant experience in equity research / capital markets
- Prior experience in a stock broking firm, AMC, PMS, or investment advisory preferred
