- The Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis is an experienced finance professional who can work autonomously and in a team environment. This person should have skills to direct, co-operate and mentor other team members, often in cross functional settings, and have sound decision making skills. The team member should be able to work effectively with other functional areas, assisting the Senior Executive team to come to the best conclusions possible as they relate to setting and monitoring revenue and sales targets, profitability, expense budgets, KPI's and credit loss targets. In order to achieve that, they must have in-depth understanding of the business drivers, their impact on the P&L, Cash Flows and Balance Sheet.
- They should have a solid understanding of loan pricing, financial and managerial reporting, financial and operational forecasting, and product and segment profitability analysis in a consumer lending or auto finance company and financial data.
- The team member must also be experienced in manipulating large datasets as well as have a proven track record of initiating and designing infrastructures relating to financial modeling to facilitate the usability of the data.
The Manager, FP&A understands the ‘big picture’ and consistently promotes collaboration and continuous improvement seeking a good balance of efficiency, speed and accuracy of information in order to support all areas of the business as they relate to financial planning and analysis, data needs and stakeholder management.
