Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Deputy Manager - Data Privacy to join our team at our Bengaluru office. In this role, you will oversee and manage data privacy compliance and regulations, ensuring organizational adherence to industry standards and legal requirements. Responsibilities include evaluating and implementing data privacy policies, conducting risk assessments, providing subject matter expertise, training, and managing compliance audits. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to uphold data privacy best practices and ensure operational integrity in handling sensitive data.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, and related frameworks) and experience developing and maintaining compliance programs
- Should have 3-5 years of experience in similar role
- Risk assessment and management skills, with experience conducting privacy audits and ensuring mitigation of data-related vulnerabilities
- Strong understanding of information security principles, data governance, and data classification methodologies
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide training and guidance on data privacy practices
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to navigate complex data privacy challenges
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP, CIPM, CISSP) are highly desirable
- Experience working in a legal, technology, or compliance-related role is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Technology, or a related field
