Job Title : Deputy Manager - Sambodhi Capacity and Learning Institute (SCLI)
Job Summary :
Sambodhi Capacity Learning Institute (SCLI) is looking for a motivated professional to support and manage capacity-building initiatives across development, MERL, research, data, and public policy domains. The role combines programme delivery, stakeholder engagement, proposal development, and course management. It is well suited to someone who is organised, analytical, client-facing, and interested in strengthening institutional and individual capacities.
Essential Functions :
The candidate will perform the following key functions:
1) Programme Delivery and Stakeholder Management
- Support the design and delivery of training modules, toolkits, and learning materials for short- and long-term capacity-building initiatives.
- Coordinate end-to-end implementation of projects, including planning, scheduling, liaison with internal teams, and timely delivery of outputs.
- Organise and support trainings, workshops, and other learning events in coordination with trainers, experts, and partner institutions.
- Manage relationships with clients, consultants, vendors, and partner organisations to ensure smooth coordination and delivery.
- Prepare high-quality reports, briefs, presentations, and other knowledge products for internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to quality assurance across deliverables and integrate feedback and learning into ongoing work.
2) Research, MEL, and Data Use
- Contribute to the design and operationalisation of monitoring, evaluation, and learning frameworks, including indicators, tools, and tracking systems.
- Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to generate insights for programme improvement and evidence-based decision-making.
- Undertake primary and secondary research, including literature reviews, scoping studies, field assessments, and thematic analyses.
3) Proposal Development and Bid Management
- Support end-to-end proposal development for capacity-building and MEL-related assignments, from opportunity review to submission.
- Draft technical sections on training design, delivery approaches, learning pathways, capacity needs assessment, and MEL systems.
- Ensure proposals are technically sound, contextually relevant, and aligned with client requirements.
4) Management of Online Courses
- Support in overseeing planning and delivery of SCLI’s online course cohorts, where required.
- Oversee course operations in line with the academic calendar, including weekday and weekend sessions.
- Liaise with communications and outreach teams to support course promotion and learner engagement.
- Supervise management of course content and learner access on the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Strategize based on learner experience, feedbacks and recommend improvements to strengthen course quality and impact.
- Support partnerships that enhance course delivery, visibility, and reach.

Desired profile:
Education :
Postgraduate degree in social sciences, development studies, public policy, education, management, or a related field
Experience :
2 years of experience in capacity building, research, MEL, technical support, knowledge management, or related areas.
Personal Competencies:
- Understanding of social development sector and learning design
- Good Understanding of research, monitoring and evaluation and data analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Attention to detail and time management skills
