Major Responsibilities
- Settlement of Subcontracting rates/revisions related to Pune based 3 plants and give support to WPD Sinnar plant for rate revision proposals.
- Responsible for all activities related to Subcontracting cost calculations, comparison and commercial negotiations and approval through S/C Purchase Committee process.
- Responsible for rate negotiations, commercial terms and establishment of long-term frame agreements wherever applicable.
- Responsible for rate revalidation and comparison with IED working as per governing time lines.
- Item wise cost sheet model finalization and getting approval from committee.
- Identification of capable vendor in S/C& send RFQ’s & release of S/C purchase orders through SAP
- Responsible for adherence to S/C rate finalization & approval SOP.
- Release of S/C purchase orders in SAP.
- Co-ordinate with other departments to like Operations, PMPS, Controlling, Quality, assembly for Subcontracting commercial activities.
- Monitoring of Open Subcontracting PR’s & ensure timely conversion of PR to PO’s for Classical Items as per specified time line for IPD.
- Responsible for ensuring timely maintenance of INFO records, Source list, mass data updation, PIP/PRP, etc. in SAP.
- Responsible for preparation of monthly subcontracting MIS data related to rate settlement, rate validation etc.
Job Requirement
Education/Qualification and experience:
BE (Mechanical) with minimum 8-10 years of experience in Subcontracting activities.
Knowledge And Competencies
Also, experience in costing and negotiation is required.
Functional Competencies
- Hands in experience of Subcontracting activities and process flow.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing process like Machining, Painting, Coatings, welding etc.
- Knowledge about machine per hour rates as well latest industrial engineering practices in manufacturing.
- Strong Negotiation Skills & costing knowledge.
- Knowledge of Commercial Contract.
- Knowledge of SAP-MM Module and MS Office.
- Exposure to Vendor evaluation, assessment & approval process.
- Exposure to subcontracting vendor base.
