The Deputy Manager - PR & Influencer Affiliations is a mid-senior execution and coordination role at the heart of House of Rare’s communications function. You will drive the month-on-month PR calendar, coordinate influencer campaigns, manage budgets, and lead a team of executives and interns to deliver work that is on-brand, on-brief, and on time.
This role requires someone who is highly organised, deadline obsessed, a confident communicator, and capable of managing both upward and downward relationships with professionalism and clarity. You will work in close coordination with the Senior Manager and cross-functional teams, while independently leading day-to-day execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
PR Calendar Execution
• Execute monthly calendars aligned with brand priorities and campaign timelines.
• Coordinate with internal teams to gather inputs, approvals, and assets required for pitching.
• Track progress with internal and external teams to ensure all activities move forward on schedule.
• Build personal media connects across relevant publications, in tandem with the Senior Manager.
• Understand journalist beats, preferences, and deadlines to ensure well-timed, relevant outreach.
Influencer Coordination
• Coordinate execution of influencer campaigns under defined strategy, in collaboration with team members.
• Identify and onboard influencers as per campaign requirements.
• Guide the team to manage contracts, briefs, content approvals, and posting schedules.
• Ensure influencers receive briefs, products, and payments on time, with the support of the team.
• Act as the secondary point of contact for influencer communication in the absence of a team member.
Budgeting & Performance Tracking
• Planning content as per the budgets, tracking, and scheduling activations accordingly, across PR and influencer activities.
• Monitor spends against plans and flag deviations to the reporting manager in a timely manner.
• Compile and present performance reports post-campaign, covering PR coverage metrics and influencer campaign outcomes.
Team Leadership
• Act as the first point of contact for senior executives and interns for daily tasks and clarifications.
• Allocate tasks clearly and ensure team members have full understanding of timelines, deliverables, and quality expectations.
• Track daily and weekly deliverables across the team and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
• Conduct regular check-ins and weekly huddles to review progress and address challenges proactively.
• Provide guidance on pitching, influencer coordination, reporting, and documentation.
• Review drafts, trackers, and reports to ensure accuracy and quality before submission.
• Escalate risks, delays, or quality issues proactively to the reporting manager.
Interpersonal Skills
• Communicate with clarity and confidence across all levels of the organisation.
• Manage difficult conversations constructively and with professionalism.
• Build trust-based relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Resolve interpersonal conflicts within the team in a fair and timely manner.
• Mentor and guide team members through effective communication and consistent feedback.
REQUIREMENTS
• 3-4 years of experience in PR, influencer marketing, or a combined communications role, prior experience in fashion, lifestyle, or D2C brands is mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to manage PR calendars and influencer campaigns end-to-end with minimal supervision.
• Experience leading or supervising a team of executives or interns, with the ability to allocate, track, and review work.
• Strong understanding of the Indian media landscape - journalist beats, publication tiers, and editorial rhythms.
• Deep understanding of the Indian influencer ecosystem across Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills - comfortable drafting briefs, pitches, trackers, and reports.
• Proficiency with media monitoring tools and influencer analytics platforms
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
