JOB SUMMARY
For our esteemed real estate client.
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Deputy General Manager (DGM) – Projects to lead and manage our high-rise real estate projects (30-40 floors) from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Civil Engineering, with a special focus on high-rise construction, advanced technology, and team leadership. This role requires proven leadership in managing teams across contract management, purchase, billing, and budgeting departments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and ensure successful execution of multiple high-rise projects, ensuring that all timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Lead, mentor, and manage cross-functional teams, including contract, purchase, billing, and budgeting departments. Ensure alignment of team objectives with overall project goals.
- Liaise with key stakeholders including senior management, contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. Monitor and adjust project plans to accommodate unforeseen challenges or delays.
- Monitor the project budget, control project costs, and manage any changes to the project scope. Ensure proper financial documentation and timely reporting.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and compliance with statutory laws. Implement quality control processes and resolve any construction issues.
- Oversee the use of advanced technology for project monitoring, including Building Information Modeling (BIM), project management software, and other emerging construction technologies.
- Manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring the delivery of materials and services on time and according to specifications.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, progress, and risks. Prepare detailed progress reports and presentations.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- B.E. Civil Engineering (or equivalent), with specialized knowledge in high-rise construction.
- 15-20 years of experience in the construction industry, with a proven track record in managing high-rise building projects (30-40 floors).
- Experience managing large teams across various departments including contract management, purchase, billing, and budgeting.
- Proficient in the use of construction management software and familiarity with advanced building technologies.
- Project management certifications such as PMP, Prince2, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
PREFERRED SKILLS
· Expertise in high-rise building construction (minimum 30-40 floors).
· Proficient in using advanced technology, such as BIM, construction project management software, and automated systems.
· Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, from design to completion.
· Negotiation skills for dealing with contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
· In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles, with a focus on high-rise construction technologies.
