Job Description: Deputy General Manager (DGM) – Govt & Public Sector Sales
Location: Delhi (NCR)
Position Overview
Aurassure is seeking a visionary and result-oriented
Deputy General Manager – Govt & Public Sector Sales to spearhead our growth within the Indian government ecosystem. Based in Delhi, you will be the face of Aurassure for Central and State government bodies, Smart City SPVs, and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
Your mission is to position Aurassure’s AI-powered climate intelligence and IoT solutions as the gold standard for environmental monitoring, flood management, and urban sustainability. You will oversee the entire business development lifecycle - from high-level advocacy and policy influence to tender submission and contract execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Business Development & GTM
- National Strategy: Develop and execute a robust Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy for the Government and Public Sector across India, with a primary focus on North India.
- Revenue Ownership: Drive the achievement of ambitious annual sales targets and market share expansion within the government vertical.
- Market Intelligence: Track national policies (e.g., NCAP, Smart Cities Mission 2.0, AMRUT) and identify upcoming large-scale opportunities.
- Stakeholder Management & Advocacy
- Executive Presence: Build and nurture deep-rooted relationships with senior bureaucrats, IAS officers, Municipal Commissioners, and Ministry heads (MoEFCC, MoHUA, Jal Shakti).
- Ecosystem Alliances: Manage and lead strategic partnerships with System Integrators (SIs) like IBM, LTIMindtree, and Honeywell, as well as "Big Four" consulting firms for joint RFP bids.
- Influencing Specifications: Work closely with technical committees to help define standards and specifications for environmental monitoring and IoT tenders.
- Tender & Bid Management
- End-to-End Execution: Oversee the entire bidding process, including pre-bid meetings, technical presentations, documentation, and commercial negotiations.
- Compliance: Ensure 100% adherence to government procurement guidelines (GeM, GFR) and internal company risk policies.
- Leadership & Operations
- Team Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of sales and technical professionals to build a high-performance culture.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with the Enterprises Sales, Product and Engineering teams to customize solutions based on unique city-level environmental challenges.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 10 - 15 years of experience in Government Sales / Public Sector Business Development, preferably in IoT, SaaS, Environmental Tech, or Smart City solutions.
- Track Record: Proven success in winning multi-crore (INR) government contracts and managing long-cycle sales (12–18 months).
- Education: B.E./B.Tech (Environment, Electronics, or IT preferred). An MBA from a premier institute is highly desirable.

- Public Procurement Expertise:** Deep understanding of the **GeM portal**, Tendering (L1/QCBS), and the Indian administrative hierarchy.
- Network: An active rolodex of contacts within central ministries and state-level environmental/urban bodies.
- Communication: Exceptional "boardroom" presence with the ability to simplify complex IoT data into compelling social and economic impact narratives.
- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively across India for client engagement and site visits.
