Purpose of the Role:
The role is responsible for high voltage battery pack testing and certification Lead of EVPV development project(s) to achieve the project level quality, cost and timeline targets abiding Gen3 NPI process through core group and extended team.
Experience: 10 years to 18 years
Education: Fulltime B. E / B.Tech (No Backlogs or Gaps)
Job Responsibilities:
Pack Testing:
- Lead / Develop testing plan for battery pack development projects.
- Lead / Develop testing plan for battery pack development projects.
- Lead test activity with suppliers, Approve / review reports, green reports release, certification activities,
- Lead Cell testing, data analysis and report generation.
- Test plan creation / reviews and work with suppliers.
- Review / validate BMS functionalities including SOC, SOH, contactor operation, battery protection limits and generate report.
- Lead / Perform and troubleshoot testing of battery pack in lab and at vehicle level.
- Lead battery DFMEA & CIBs closure.
- Lead / create battery DVP & CTR.
- Lead field failure issue resolution
- Lead battery test lab facility development
- Support development of battery pack from electrical domain perspective, architecture, wiring harness, vehicle interface, failures.

Desired Candidate Profile:
- Experience in Cell / battery pack / EV aggregate development.
- Detailed knowledge of all global battery cell / pack tests standards.
- Knowledge & experience on testing activity, test setup development.
- Experience as team lead with battery test bench development, establishing communications between VCU, BMS, battery testing equipment.
- Lead / review data analysis and report generation.
- Test plan creation / reviews and work with suppliers.
- Detailed Knowledge about battery tests equipment handling and safety procedures.
- Knowledge of cell technologies, pack design, BMS strategy, HV/LV architecture.
- Familiar with tools like CAN analyser/Vehicle spy, Motohawk (Moto-tune) interfaces.
- Knowledge of safety protocols to be followed during pack design, cell packaging in module / pack.
- Awareness about battery pack recycling, 2nd life usage.
- Detailed knowledge about cell chemistry, manufacturing process, cell behaviour, new technology trends, cell analysis, cell failures.
