Job Title: Deputy General Manager/ Assistant General Manager – The Wellness Co. @ Karma Lakelands Gurugram

About the Role:
We are launching a holistic, integrated wellness facility at Karma Lakelands under the brand The Wellness Co. The center will feature modern and traditional wellness modalities including HBOT, Whole Body Cryo, Red Light Therapy, Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Sound Healing, Pilates, Gym, and curated wellness cuisine.
The General Manager – Retreat Operations will be the primary on-ground leader, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, guest satisfaction, staff coordination, and alignment with Karma Lakelands’ standards.
This role requires someone with strong hospitality/wellness retreat experience, excellent communication skills, and deep understanding of premium wellness ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily operations of the integrated wellness center, ensuring world-class service delivery.
- Ensure smooth functioning of all departments — Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Pilates, Gym, Sound Healing, Cryo/HBOT, Guest Services, and F&B (curated meals).
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, equipment upkeep, and facility readiness.
Stakeholder & Partner Management:
- Act as the central coordination point between The Wellness Co. and Karma Lakelands Management.
- Represent the wellness center in all strategic and operational discussions with stakeholders.
Team Management:
- Lead, hire, train, and supervise therapists, instructors, front desk, and operational staff.
- Implement SOPs, performance metrics, and training modules to maintain service excellence.
Guest Experience & Service Excellence:
- Ensure premium guest experiences across all touchpoints- bookings, check-ins, therapy flow, meals, and follow-ups.
- Handle guest escalations professionally, ensuring quick resolution and guest delight.
Business & Financial Management:
- Monitor revenue, occupancy, therapy flow, and overall retreat performance.
- Manage budgets, operational costs, procurement, and vendor coordination.
- Support marketing, promotions, packages, and retreat program execution.
Compliance & Quality Control:
- Ensure compliance with wellness, safety, and hospitality standards.
- Maintain documentation, licensing, equipment certifications, and audit readiness.
Required Experience & Skills:
- 8 to 10 years of experience in hotel management, wellness retreats, luxury hospitality, or integrated wellness centers.
- Strong operational background with proven experience managing multi-department facilities.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Deep understanding of holistic wellness modalities (Ayurveda, modern science therapies, naturopathy, yoga, and fitness).
- Ability to work in a highly dynamic, guest-centric environment.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and staff development capabilities.
- Comfort with on-ground, high-engagement roles involving daily guest interaction.
Preferred Profile
- Candidates residing in Gurugram or nearby areas/Delhi NCR and willing to relocate to Gurgaon.
- Age between 40 to 50 years
- Experience with luxury resort or wellness retreat operations.
- Physically active and able to manage on-ground operations across a large property.
- Professional, disciplined, and capable of representing the brand at the leadership level.
