Director-R&D
Job Description
Should be able to lead Life Cycle Management and CDMO programs and lead a team of 20-30 people.
Good understanding and knowledge of safety and quality aspects of various phases of development of Intermediates and API's
- Responsible for R&D Activities (Chemical Research, Analytical Research and RFP) like Process development, process optimization for given target with scalable, safe, environment friendly and cost effective wherever applicable, analytical method development, qualification, validation and transfer the scheme of experiments.
- Responsible for manpower planning and timely completion of projects in R&D
- Responsible for timely submission of RFPs technical summary, RMCC and R&D costing.
- Responsible for technology accommodation, DOE, demonstration and active participation in successful technology transfer.
- Plant trouble shooting, investigation and root cause analysis support.
- IUT support for vendor qualification and plant batches.
- Visualize the development needs of the product in advance.
- Review RFP and coordinate with all CFT.
- Understand the safety and environment aspect.
- Updating the progress of the projects to the site R&D head/operation head and India/Global R&D head.
- Solve the problems and queries related to the development of the product.
- Handle timely updates, IUT, VQ, TL LFR/PDR reports documentation individually/review and effectively.
- Understand the scalability of the chosen process, in coordination with TSD and Production.
- Create amicable relationship within PRD and ARD.
- Mentor, empower and guide the group leaders, scientists and chemists.
- Responsible for the team training needs and appraisal.
- Responsible for keeping R&D neat and clean, safe and the laboratories auditable all the time.
- Responsible for department related administration activities.
- Voluntarily involve in additional responsibilities, Safety, ESI, and corporate social responsible programs based on requirements.
- Handle teleconference internally and with Client timely/regularly and effectively.
- Empower team skills on regularly.
- Voluntarily involve additional responsibility as required for self and departmental growth.
- Continuous upgradation of R&D infrastructure.
- Identify potential candidates for R&D and RFPs for recruitments.
- Handle any additional responsibilities assigned by site R&D head/operation head/ india R&D head/ Global R&D head.
