Deputy Director – Admissions & Outreach
THE OPPORTUNITY
AU-QUASAR is India's first Deep-tech school—a quantum-AI institution within Alliance University purpose-built to produce researchers, founders, and professionals who will define the next technological era. Admissions at QUASAR is a strategic revenue function, not a back-office operation. The Deputy Director – Admissions & Outreach owns the enrolment pipeline for all ten programmes across four UG and six PG specialisations, with direct accountability to the Registrar General and a revenue mandate that scales to ₹60–72 Cr by Year 5.

YOUR MANDATE
1. Institutional Visibility & Positioning
• Own the QUASAR narrative: quantum-AI convergence, national mission, world-class infrastructure, and career outcomes
• Build QUASAR's share of mind in the JEE Advanced Top 50,000 cohort
• Develop differentiated positioning for all 10 specialisations against IITs, NITs, and leading private universities
• Establish QUASAR's brand among international students from Southeast Asia, West Asia, Africa, and the Indian diaspora
• Build thought-leadership platforms: outreach seminars, faculty lecture series, student success storytelling
2. Outreach, Engagement & Pipeline Development
• Design integrated outreach across direct (school visits, education fairs, coaching institutes) and digital (email, webinars, CRM) channels
• Build school partnership programme: 50 (Y1) → 500+ (Y5) JEE-coaching institutes and top CBSE/ISC schools
• Develop a career counsellor network: 50 (Y1) → 300+ (Y5) across India
• Run Open House events, Virtual Campus Tours, Faculty Masterclasses, and Scholarship Showcases as conversion tools
• Develop international outreach strategy: UAE, Singapore, Bangladesh, Nepal, Nigeria, East Africa
• Manage CRM-driven lead nurturing with clear Cost-per-Application and Cost-per-Enrolled-Student benchmarks
3. Admissions Operations & Process Excellence
• Own the full admissions cycle: applications, shortlisting, offers, fee collection, and enrolment confirmation
• Design holistic B.Tech criteria: JEE scores, aptitude assessment, academic record, and motivation statement
• Build M.Tech admissions: GATE scores, research aptitude test, technical interview, SOP evaluation
• Establish Ph.D. admissions: research proposal review, faculty mentor matching, interview coordination
• Manage QUASAR Merit Scholarship programme: quantum & AI talent, need-based, diversity scholarships
• Ensure UGC/AICTE regulatory compliance; manage admissions technology stack and international admissions track
4. Data, Analytics & Continuous Improvement
• Build real-time admissions dashboard: applications, offers, acceptances, yield rates, and quality metrics
• Track outreach attribution: quality-of-applicant by channel, not just volume
• Conduct annual competitive analysis against IITs, NITs, IIITs, Ashoka, Shiv Nadar, VIT, and SRM
• Present monthly pipeline reports and quarterly outreach performance reviews to the Executive Director
WHO YOU ARE
Essential Qualifications
• Postgraduate degree (MBA Marketing preferred) from a reputed institution
• 10–15 years in higher education marketing, admissions, or EdTech growth — at least 5 years in leadership
• Demonstrated track record of building enrolment pipelines at scale
• Deep familiarity with the JEE ecosystem: coaching networks, rank distribution, student and parent decision-making
• Digital expertise: virtual events, community platforms, email automation, CRM, and analytics
• Strong analytical capability: Excel, CRM dashboards, Google Analytics, enrolment funnel metrics
• Working knowledge of UGC/AICTE regulatory requirements for admissions

• Built enrolment operations at an EdTech company (upGrad, Great Learning, Emeritus, Coursera India)
• Led student recruitment at an international university or branch campus operating in India
• Built outreach and community growth for a high-growth education start-up from the ground up
REPORTING STRUCTURE & TEAM
Reports to: Registrar General, AU | Member of: QUASAR Leadership Council (as required)
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Base Salary: ₹30–36 lakhs per annum
- Performance Bonus: 15–20% of base linked to enrolment volume, quality metrics, and brand KPIs
- Enrolment Milestone Bonus: One-time bonus on achieving Y1 and Y3 enrolment targets
