Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Depository Participant (DP) Executive to manage end-to-end depository operations, ensuring seamless processing of Demat account activities while maintaining compliance with SEBI, NSDL/CDSL, and exchange regulations. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in stock broking or depository operations and possess strong knowledge of DP processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Demat account opening, modification, closure, and reactivation requests.
- Handle Dematerialisation (Demat) and Rematerialisation (Remat) requests.
- Process Pledge, Unpledge, Invocation, Freeze, and Unfreeze requests.
- Verify and process Delivery Instruction Slips (DIS), E-DIS, off-market and on-market transfers.
- Manage account transfers through CDSL Easi/Easiest and NSDL Speed-e.
- Execute corporate action-related activities including bonus, split, merger, rights issue, dividends, etc.
- Process account transmission and nomination requests.
- Reconcile daily DP transactions and settlements.
- Coordinate with exchanges, depositories (CDSL/NSDL), clearing corporations, and internal teams.
- Maintain DP records and documentation as per audit and regulatory requirements.
- Handle client queries related to Demat accounts and depository services.
- Support internal, statutory, SEBI, NSDL/CDSL, and exchange audits.
- Ensure adherence to SEBI, NSDL/CDSL, AML, KYC, and regulatory guidelines.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of NSDL and CDSL depository operations.
- Knowledge of SEBI regulations, KYC, AML, and Depository Participant guidelines.
- Experience in DIS verification, Demat/Remat, pledge processing, and corporate actions.
- Familiarity with DP back-office software.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Good communication and customer handling skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Depository Participant operations within a Stock Broking company.
- Experience working with NSDL/CDSL platforms is mandatory.
- NISM certification will be an added advantage.
Preferred Experience
- Stock Broking industry experience.
- Exposure to internal and regulatory audits.
- Knowledge of settlement operations and securities processing.
