Data Warehouse Administrator

Under the general supervision of the Information Technology Manager I, the incumbent serves as a Data Warehouse Administrator, providing programmatic support to the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)/Department-wide Business Intelligence (DBI) Office in the Infrastructure Management Division. This position is based in the Caltrans Sacramento Headquarters office. MAJOR FUNCTIONS: The incumbent works collaboratively with management and staff to provide database administration, and technical support for the EDW/DBI program. In addition to database administration and data science, the incumbent's focus is on the standards, processes, procedures for the analysis, design, implementation, maintenance and operations of data warehousing and the ethical use of Generative Artificial Intelligence. The incumbent's secondary focus is business intelligence, data analysis and reporting. The incumbent performs activities of the System Development Life-cycle, which may include systems: analysis, design, build, test, maintenance and operations. The incumbent also performs functions including, but are not limited to, researching, writing, reporting, presenting, etc.
