Duties
You will supervise, provide guidance to ensure workload is understood, and review daily correspondence for detail and accuracy.,You are required to make rapid and sound decisions.,You will monitor training programs, evaluate instructors, and identify development and training needs of employees,,You will respond to alarms and serve as Senior Fire Officer and/or Incident Commander.,You will administer public fire education programs and coordinate public speakers in selected engagements.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: .1) Identifying potential hazards associated with fire suppression, rescue operations, and hazardous materials; 2) Implementing fire protection and prevention training programs and projects; and 3) Providing guidance on fire prevention programs to ensure compliance with organizational policies. Certification Requirements: The incumbent of this position must possess the following certifications: Firefighter I & II, Airport Firefighter, Fire Officer III, Fire Instructor II, Fire Inspector II, HazMat Technician and Hazmat Incident Commander. Firefighter related certificates must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC, or ProBoard to meet the certification requirement. Must Also possess NATIONAL REGISTERED EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN (NREMT) certification. ALL CERTIFICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH APPLICATION OR YOU WILL BE RATED INELIGIBLE.
