Duties
You will serve as Safety and Occupational Health Manager in Facility Management and Sustainment Division, Facilities, Maintenance and Logistics Management Department at Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station, Pacific (NCTAMS PAC).,You will be responsible for planning, developing, organizing, administering, evaluation and coordinating a consolidated safety program for all subordinate commands and detachments.,You will outline work and safety programs to be accomplished by command, department, and divisional safety representatives, sets and adjusts long-term NCTAMS PAC area of responsibility (AOR) goals and prepares schedules for completion of work.,You will act as the principal and technical expert to the NCTAMS PAC Commanding Officer on all matters relating to safety programs.,You will administer aggressive workplace inspections, investigations, consultations, training, safety programs and associated recordkeeping requirements.,You will ensure compliance and enforcement of laws, rules, regulations and standards applicable to managed safety programs.
Qualifications
Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: -Experience managing a safety and occupational health program and achieving compliance with laws, rules, and regulations. -Experience implementing and managing a data management system used to record, monitor, assess and measure safety programs such as Enterprise Safety Application Management System (ESAMS) or similar systems. -Experience overseeing all Safety and Occupational Health inspections, assessments, and reviews. -Experience validating program compliance, driving deficiency resolutions, and conducting incident mishap and near-miss investigations. This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1599f. The Cyber Interagency Transfer Authority (CITA) permits movement of CES employees appointed under Section 1599f of Title 10 U.S.C. and excepted service employees appointed under Schedule A, Section 213.3106(b)(11) of Title 5 CFR, into cyber workforce positions in the competitive service and movement of competitive service employees into DoD Cyber Workforce positions within the Military Departments and Defense Agencies.
