Duties
You will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) in hardware acquisitions in support of the Operations Team efforts; and you will develop and maintain the operating procedures.,You will serve as the liaison to internal teams and external customers for funding IT hardware purchases in support of remote site installations and end-user hardware.,You will monitor the ongoing operations of a complex desktop environment with a large number of installations and technical refresh efforts.,You will serve as the SME providing technical support to customers (i.e. - customer assistance, installation planning, inventory control and funding process) in response to customer requirements.,You will provide analytical and evaluative duties related to computer networks and telecommunications with primary knowledge requirements of IT hardware capabilities along with trending technologies.,You will provide high-level technical expertise in trending technologies to determine replacement models.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Experience and knowledge of procurement policies/procedures sufficient to develop technical specifications and other procurement documentation to include economic analyses in support of the acquisition of hardware and associated licensing and support. 2) Experience and knowledge serving as the customer focal point for the initiation and assistance of resolution for customer funding on behalf of the Deployment and Tech Refresh efforts of remote sites and end-user equipment. 3) Experience and knowledge assisting in the planning, designing, modernizing, and analyzing the organization's deployment and technical refresh processes according to best practices, while ensuring high levels of customer service quality and availability.
