Duties

You will assist in the performance of functions such as formulation of budget and cost estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, review and evaluate budget requests, control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures.,You will develop and apply competencies through on-the-job and/or classroom training in the application of concepts, principles, standards, terminology, practices, and procedures in a variety of financial administration and management duties.,You will receive developmental assignments designed to increase the employee’s knowledge and understanding of the functions of budget, accounting, and financial management.,You will perform limited studies or assists a higher-graded analyst with full scale studies.,You will research guides to locate accounting, budgetary and financial information and prepares summaries for use by higher-graded analysts.,You will perform specialized work involving managerial or administrative work in connection with accounting systems; analytical, forecasting, and interpretive functions.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting with budget formulation and cost estimates; 2) Performing limited studies and assisting higher level analyst with studies; 3) Researching guides to locate accounting, budgetary and financial information to be used in summary preparations; 4) Under the guidance of supervisor, performing administrative work in connection with accounting systems, analytical, forecasting, and interpretative functions; 5) Participating in on-the-job/ classroom training related to financial administration duties.
