Duties
Initiate changes in the work of the Budget Section function for efficient operations within allowable costs, staffing level, and policies.,Assign work and special projects to staff employees of an organizational activity.,Perform personnel management activities such as, plan and approve leave; resolve complaints and grievances; and inform personnel on policies.,Develop evaluation policies and procedures for an organization’s financial resources.,Review organizational guidance to determine whether programmed staffing/funding levels meet policy requirements.,Conduct reviews of program sufficiency and accuracy of operating program cost data.,Analyze and determine financial resources necessary to support a Counter Narcotics Program.,Provide guidance for agency personnel in the development and tracking of strategic gaps and solutions.,Guide an organization through all phases of the programming and financial execution cycle.,Provide guidance and support through all phases of the procurement cycle.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes includes recommending effective and efficient means of using organizational funds; interpreting budget guidance for program planning; and presenting appropriate integrated, consolidated, analyzed, and/or special budget management data to support operations across future budget cycles. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS/GG-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
