Duties

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1) Manage the lifecycle of acquisition programs from planning and execution to evaluation; 2) Identify potential risks associated with program execution and developing mitigation strategies accordingly; 3) Deliver expert guidance, reports, and recommendations to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness; 4) Lead teams to assess and refine acquisition strategies, specifications, and plans. This is a Critical Acquisition Position. Unless specifically granted a position waiver by the Director of Acquisition Career Management or the Army Acquisition Executive the following requirements are mandated: Selectee must execute a written tenure agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years. Selectee must obtain the highest Career Category Level of certification in the assigned Career Category/Functional Area. The exception is Program Management, which requires Practitioner or higher Career Level certification. The assigned Career Category/Functional Area and Career Level Certification Category can be found on the sequenced position Conditions of Employment data fields in the header of the PD/PRD. Foundational Career Level Certification or Contracting Professional Certification must be met within 3 years. Practitioner Career Level Certification must be met within 5 years.
