RESEARCH DATA SPECIALIST III | Public Health Statistician

Under the general direction of the Research Data Specialist Supervisor, this position will perform a variety of professional, technical, and analytical work in the field of public health statistics. The incumbent will be responsible for collecting, processing, analyzing, and interpreting data for reports, presentations, and publications related to public health issues and programs. This includes but is not limited to conducting data analysis and statistical modeling, designing and developing databases, performing data quality assurance, preparing tables and graphs, and writing technical reports. The incumbent will also assist in the planning and implementation of public health surveillance and epidemiological studies. Other duties may include providing data and statistical consulting services to departmental staff and external partners, and leading special projects as assigned.
