About the role

Under administrative direction, serves as a Lead Application Developer for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) supporting the Illinois Department of Revenue (IDoR) by coordinating and conducting complex web application development for the Web Application Development unit. Analyzes and recommends new procedures and techniques to improve supported websites and web applications. Serves as a primary support for scheduled and remedial maintenance to assigned websites and web applications. Represents the web development team by attending meetings and conferences as the subject matter expert for their supported systems. Serves as a team leader on highly complex projects while independently planning, developing, and implementing techniques for gathering and interpreting data. Keeps abreast of new developments in the Web Development field by continuing education through attendance in meetings, training sessions, seminars and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques and procedures Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
