About the role

In this Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) role, you will become a key team member of Homeland Security individuals involved in performing duties that involve ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data throughout the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of Information systems security programs, procedures, and tools. Typical duties of this assignment include: Providing authoritative expertise to senior management and program managers regarding application of Federal Information Security Management Act guidelines and DHS and CBP information security standards. Facilitating actions necessary to ensure the compliance of the Program Management Office Directorate (PMOD) technology portfolio with FISMA guidelines and DHS and CBP cybersecurity rules and regulation. Leading efforts to ensure cybersecurity planning is integrated across the acquisition life cycle for programs within the PMOD technology portfolio. Collaborating with the CBP Office of Information Technology to ensure PMOD programs attain the appropriate cybersecurity authorities to operate in compliance with DHS and CBP standards.
