The Ramalingaswami Re-entry Fellowship offers a comprehensive package of benefits to support your research endeavors:
Benefit Amount
Monthly Fellowship ₹1,35,000
Research Support Grant ₹13,00,000 per annum
Institutional Overhead ₹50,000 per annum to the host institute
The research support grant can be used for:
Purchase of consumables
Minor equipment
Domestic travel
Engaging project staff
Other contingent expenditures related to the research project
Additional Benefits:
Fellows are eligible to apply for research projects, travel grants, and conference grants through extramural and other research schemes of various science and technology agencies of the Government of India.
If a fellow accepts a permanent position, the fellowship and housing allowance will be discontinued. However, they can continue to receive the research grant for the remaining tenure.
