Position Overview: The position of a Department Manager is to oversee
and manage the operations of a specific department or section within the
retail store.
The primary goal is to ensure the department's success by achieving sales
targets, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, and efficiently
managing the department's resources and personnel.
Responsibilities:
Communicate, and drive the department's sales targets by regularly
monitoring progress and taking strategic actions to meet or exceed
goals.
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing excellent
customer service and maintaining a clean and organized department.
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and
professionally.
Provide recommendations and assist customers in finding suitable
products to meet their needs.
Responsibilities:
Resolve customer issues efficiently, ensuring a positive resolution
and a satisfied customer.
Be adaptable to changing customer needs and preferences.
Ensure the department's layout and product displays are visually
appealing and in compliance with company guidelines.
Regularly review stock levels and replenish merchandise as needed.
Plan and manage department inventory levels to ensure optimal
stock availability without overstocking or stock-outs.
Lead, inspire, and motivate a team of Customer Service Executives,
setting clear expectations and providing guidance to achieve
departmental goals.
Leverage and effectively utilize retail technology software to
optimize department operations.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry
regulations within the department.
Plan and execute special sales events, promotions, and product
launches to boost sales and meet or exceed sales targets.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
Prior experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in retail or
hospitality.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for gourmet food and a willingness to learn about new
products.
Strong sales and customer-convincing abilities.
Attention to detail and a commitment to providing outstanding
performance.
Ability to lead and assist a team.
Motivated to learn, ability to solve problems and creative.
