Enterprise Architecture & Business Change Manager Job description Job Title: Enterprise Architecture & Business Change Manager Team: DWP Digital Location: Primarily remote working, with attendance required at sites in Petersborough, London, Blackpool & Manchester as needed. Department: Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Salary: £62,259 to £70,027 per annum plus a range of valuable civil service benefits Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Full time Role Purpose: You will lead and deliver enterprise architecture and business change within DWP Digital Services, ensuring strategic alignment and delivery of complex IT programmes and products that meet user needs and business objectives. This is a senior strategic role, working closely with business leaders and IT teams to shape and deliver enterprise architecture and major business change initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the development and continuous improvement of DWP Digital's enterprise architecture ensuring alignment with wider DWP and government strategies and standards. - Work with business leaders and IT teams to define and deliver complex business change initiatives and digital transformation programmes. - Provide expert architectural and change management advice and guidance to senior stakeholders, collaborating with technical and delivery teams to ensure successful implementation. - Manage and lead a team of enterprise architects, business analysts and change managers. - Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships, influencing and negotiating to drive complex enterprise-wide change. - Identify opportunities to improve enterprise architecture, implement new ways of working and drive continuous improvement. - Champion innovation and digital ways of working, advocating enterprise architecture and change management best practices. - Support the development of departmental enterprise architecture and IT strategy, translating business needs into technical solutions. - Lead the development of architecture governance and change management frameworks, ensuring consistent application across DWP Digital. Essential Criteria: - Proven experience of leading enterprise architecture and business change initiatives within a large, complex organisation. - Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels, including senior leaders. - In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, principles and practices, with the ability to apply them effectively. - Extensive experience of delivering major business change programmes, leveraging effective change management techniques. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Experience of managing and leading diverse teams, including architects, business analysts and change managers. - Demonstrable problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight timescales. - Knowledge of emerging technologies, trends and their potential business impact. - Relevant professional qualifications, e.g. TOGAF, PRINCE2, Change Management. Desirable Criteria: - Experience working within central government, the public sector or a regulated industry. - Experience with Agile and DevOps ways of working. - Knowledge of DWP Digital's technology landscape and business domains.
