Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Demand Supply Planner for an on-site role located in Mumbai. The primary responsibilities include analyzing demand trends, creating accurate forecasts, coordinating supply chain operations, and aligning production planning with market demands. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure timely fulfillment of requirements, contributing to enhanced operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Load Matching & Coordination
- Monitor new load postings and identify suitable drivers from the database based on location and truck type.
- Contact nearby drivers to check availability and interest in the load.
- Connect load owners with drivers via phone or WhatsApp for quick coordination.
- Ensure loads are picked up on time and maintain regular communication with both parties.
- Maintain records of successful and unsuccessful matches and arrange alternative drivers if required.
Driver Onboarding
- Reach out to new driver leads through calls or WhatsApp groups.
- Explain the Load Exchange platform in simple Hindi and highlight benefits such as finding return loads.
- Assist drivers with step-by-step registration on the platform.
- Collect and verify key details including driver name, truck number, phone number, and preferred routes.
- Address driver queries and provide a friendly follow-up to ensure successful onboarding.
Driver Follow-up & Availability Management
- Conduct daily calls with drivers to check availability and operational status.
- Update driver location and preferred destinations in the system for efficient load matching.
- Track preferred routes and driver activity to improve matching accuracy.
- Encourage drivers to regularly update availability in the app.
- Build strong relationships with drivers to ensure honest communication and consistent engagement.
- Familiarity with the logistics industry and understanding of operational challenges is an advantage
