Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to manage fabric and raw material inventory, ensure timely stock replenishment, and support smooth operations. The role also involves analyzing product return data and collaborating with the R&D team to improve product quality and reduce returns.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage and track fabric & raw material inventory, ensuring accurate stock visibility and availability
- Plan and execute stock replenishment and raw material replenishment based on consumption trends, stock levels, and ongoing POs
- Coordinate with internal sourcing, warehouse, and operations teams for timely material movement and inwarding
- Monitor fabric consumption patterns and highlight risks of stock-outs or excess inventory
- Work closely with Operations to understand changes, capacity constraints, and volume spikes to adjust planning accordingly.
- Analyze return data and product feedback to identify fabric or quality-related issues
- Collaborate with the R&D team to improve material quality and reduce return rates
- Conduct root cause analysis for inventory issues (overstocking, shortages, variances) and implement corrective actions
- Maintain and update planning reports and dashboards for inventory health, consumption, and replenishment tracking
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and better planning efficiency
Qualifications and Skills:
- Min 3 years of experience in demand forecasting & planning
- Experience in D2C, fashion, or apparel industry preferred
- Good understanding of fabric, trims, and raw materials (preferred but not mandatory)
- Strong skills in Excel / Google Sheets
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Good coordination and communication skills
Good to have:
- Experience in fashion/apparel or D2C brands
- Basic understanding of BOM (Bill of Materials) and fabric consumption
- Exposure to inventory management or ERP tools
