About the Role
JOB SUMMARY-
We are seeking an experienced Demand Planner to join our Supply Chain team. The Demand Planner will play a pivotal role in developing accurate forecasts, driving demand planning excellence, and ensuring alignment between business needs and supply capabilities. Thisrole requiresstrong analytical acumen, expertise in leveraging multiple data streams, and the ability to influence crossfunctional partners. The successful candidate will also lead process improvement initiatives, mentor team members, and support the adoption of new technologies to enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Forecast Development & Accuracy
- Develop benchmarks for internal and external business indicators, including demand shaping activities and macroeconomic factors, across appropriate time horizons.
- Layer in manual overrides, promotional sales data, and other business intelligence to refine forecasts.
- Leverage multiple streams of consumer and industry data to inform future demand forecasts.
- Cross-Functional Influence & Alignment
- Advise and influence cross-functional partners on forecast options for various customer segments.
- Collaborate across categories and functions to expand organizational learning and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Demand Shaping & Process Improvement
- Lead demand shaping activities to optimize forecast accuracy and support business growth.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across all planning horizons.
- Champion and support adoption of new technology tools and systems to enhance forecasting processes.
- Knowledge Sharing & Capability Building
- Share knowledge across categories and mentor team members to strengthen demand planning capability within the team.
- Lead training and best practice sharing sessions to build functional expertise.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations, Business Administration, or related field (master’s preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or related supply chain functions.
Required Skills -
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel; experience with reporting/visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is preferred.
- Proficiency in demand planning/ERP systems (e.g., SAP APO, Oracle ERP, JDA/Blue Yonder, O9 demand, or similar).
- Functional Skills:
- In-depth understanding of end-to-end demand planning processes and their role within the supply chain.
- Ability to integrate multiple data sources, including consumer insights and macroeconomic trends, into actionable forecasts.
- Solid knowledge of demand planning KPIs (forecast accuracy, bias, service levels, etc.).
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to influence at multiple levels.
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
