About the role

The Palantir Forward Deployed Engineer Manager is responsible for leading a team of Forward Deployed Engineers who work directly with our customers to drive the success of Palantir software deployments. The role involves a mix of technical leadership, customer engagement, and people management responsibilities. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Leading a team of Palantir Forward Deployed Engineers, setting goals, providing feedback, and helping them grow their careers - Serving as the technical lead for complex customer engagements, overseeing the technical implementation and ensuring successful deployment of Palantir software - Partnering closely with our sales and customer success teams to understand customer needs and drive the best outcomes - Recruiting, hiring, and retaining top engineering talent to grow the team - Collaborating with Palantir's product and engineering leadership to provide feedback and shape the future of our products Required Skills: - 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with a strong technical background - 3+ years of people management experience, including leading and mentoring a team of engineers - Excellent customer-facing skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to break down ambiguous problems - Familiarity with modern software engineering practices, tools, and cloud-based architectures - Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
