Ortems Functional Analyst – Digital Manufacturing
Role Summary
The Ortems Functional Analyst will be part of the Digital Manufacturing Team EMEA/India, supporting the deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement of the DELMIA Ortems Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) platform across manufacturing sites within the EMEA and India regions.
This position is responsible for understanding business requirements, supporting manufacturing planning processes, and configuring functional solutions within the DELMIA Ortems platform. The role acts as a bridge between plant stakeholders, production planners, operations teams, and technical resources to ensure successful deployment and adoption of Ortems solutions.
The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in production planning, finite scheduling, capacity planning, and manufacturing operations. Experience supporting multi-site deployments and working directly with business users in manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
The individual will participate in three primary activity streams: Run (Support), Projects, and Releases, with the primary focus on deployment activities, process standardization, business adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives across EMEA and India.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support DELMIA Ortems deployments across EMEA and India manufacturing sites, including requirements gathering, process alignment, solution configuration, user training, go-live support, and post-deployment stabilization activities.
The role will work closely with site leadership, production planners, manufacturing operations teams, and global product teams to ensure successful adoption of standardized planning processes across EMEA and India.
As our Ortems Functional Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Bring proven experience across multiple DELMIA Ortems implementations as a Functional Analyst in Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS)
- Support deployment and rollout activities for DELMIA Ortems across EMEA and India manufacturing sites
- Work closely with production planners, schedulers, plant leadership teams, and business stakeholders
- Gather, document, and validate business requirements
- Translate business requirements into functional Ortems solutions
- Support Fit-Gap workshops and process harmonization activities
- Configure scheduling parameters, planning models, calendars, resources, and constraints within Ortems
- Participate in solution design workshops and deployment planning sessions
- Conduct user training and support change management activities during implementation projects
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), business validation, and go-live readiness assessments
- Assist sites during hypercare and post-go-live stabilization activities
- Support issue investigation and functional troubleshooting activities
- Collaborate with ERP, MES, and integration teams to ensure end-to-end planning process alignment
- Maintain business process documentation, training materials, work instructions, and deployment artifacts
- Support release testing and validation activities
- Promote standard planning processes and best practices across EMEA and India sites
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities within planning and scheduling processes
- Support master data design and governance relevant to planning, including resources, calendars, routings, and planning constraints
- Provide functional guidance and best practices to business users throughout the project lifecycle
- Support global template adoption while addressing local site requirements where necessary
- Travel to manufacturing sites as required to support workshops, deployments, training, go-live activities, and stabilization efforts

- Working knowledge of Agile project methodologies
- Knowledge of MES processes and manufacturing execution systems is an advantage
- Experience working in global and multi-site manufacturing environments
- Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders, planners, operational teams, and IT teams
Experience
- 5+ years of Manufacturing IT, Production Planning, Supply Chain Planning, or APS experience
- 3+ years of hands-on DELMIA Ortems functional experience
- Proven experience supporting APS implementations and manufacturing site deployments
- Experience working directly with production planners, schedulers, and plant operations teams
- Experience supporting multi-site and international manufacturing environments preferred
- Experience supporting manufacturing transformation initiatives and business process improvements is an advantage
