Data Dog monitoring & Administration
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a highly skilled Datadog Monitoring & Administration Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in implementing, managing, and optimizing monitoring solutions using Datadog. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end monitoring architecture, ing strategy, dashboard creation, performance tuning, and ensuring high availability of enterprise applications and infrastructure.
Years of Experience: 5+years
Technical Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Datadog administration (minimum 5 years).
- Experience with Linux & Windows system monitoring.
- Strong understanding of:
- Cloud monitoring architecture
- Microservices monitoring
- Distributed tracing
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Shell, PowerShell).
- Knowledge of REST APIs and integrations.
- Experience in log management and observability practices.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes.
- Design, implement, and manage monitoring solutions using Datadog.
- Configure and manage:
- Infrastructure Monitoring
- APM (Application Performance Monitoring)
- Log Management
- Network Performance Monitoring
- Synthetic Monitoring
- RUM (Real User Monitoring)
- Create dashboards, monitors, s, and SLOs/SLIs.
- Integrate Datadog with cloud platforms such as:
- Amazon Web Services
- Microsoft Azure
- Google Cloud Platform
- Configure integrations with tools like:
- Kubernetes
- Docker
- Jenkins
- Terraform
- Perform log parsing, metric extraction, and custom instrumentation.
- Implement tagging strategies and optimize cost usage.
- Troubleshoot monitoring gaps, noise, and performance issues.
- Support incident management and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Automate monitoring deployments using CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure compliance with monitoring best practices and security standards.
Process Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Capable of analyzing requirements and develop software as per project defined software process.
- Develop and peer review (Initiate/ participate in peer reviews)
Behavioral Skills:
- Resolve technical issues of projects and explore alternate designs.
- Participates as a team member and fosters teamwork by inter-group coordination within the modules of the project.
- Effectively collaborates and communicates with the stakeholders and ensure client satisfaction.
- Train and coach members of project groups to ensure effective knowledge management activity.
Certification:
- Any relevant certification would be added advantage.
