Job Summary

We are seeking a transformative and execution-driven leader to serve as Leader of Data & AI Engineering. This role will oversee a multidisciplinary team of ~50 professionals, including data engineers, analysts, enterprise BI developers, and AI/ML engineers. The Leader will be responsible for driving innovation, operational excellence, and strategic alignment across data platforms, analytics capabilities, and AI/ML initiatives. This leader will play a pivotal role in modernizing our data ecosystem, enabling scalable AI solutions, and delivering business value through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams across data engineering, analytics, BI, and AI/ML.
• Translate enterprise data and AI strategy into actionable roadmaps for the Hyderabad team.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Data Engineering & Analytics

• Oversee the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance data pipelines.
• Drive modernization of legacy data systems using cloud-native technologies (AWS, Snowflake, dbt).
• Ensure robust metadata management and data quality practices across platforms.

Enterprise BI Development

• Lead the development and optimization of enterprise BI solutions using tools like Tableau and Power BI.
• Partner with business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and self-service analytics capabilities.
• Ensure semantic layer integration and data portal usability for business users.

AI/ML Engineering

• Collaborate with AI engineering teams to build and maintain AI-ready data pipelines.
• Support development of knowledge graphs, model lifecycle automation, and agentic AI capabilities.
• Ensure integration with AI gateways and APIs for seamless deployment of models.
• MUST have experience delivering AI agentic and GenAI solutions in production at scale.
• MUST have experience in the establishment and delivery of knowledge graph for AI consumption of enterprise data assets.

Governance, Compliance & Security

• Embed data governance, privacy, and compliance standards into engineering workflows.
• Partner with cybersecurity and enterprise architecture teams to ensure secure data practices.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with product, infrastructure, and business teams to align data and AI initiatives with enterprise goals.
• Represent the Hyderabad team in global forums and contribute to enterprise-wide transformation efforts.

Qualifications

Experience

• 12+ years in data engineering, analytics, or AI/ML, with 5+ years in leadership roles.

Education

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.

Technical Skills

• Cloud: AWS (required), Azure/GCP (preferred)
• Data: Snowflake, dbt, Databricks, Python, SQL
• BI: Tableau, Power BI

AI/ML: ML Ops, CICD, APIs, agentic platforms
