About the Role :
As a Delivery Lead within the PDT DD&T organization, you will lead the execution and operational delivery of the Digital Donor Center Operations Portfolio supporting Plasma Derived Therapies (PDT) business objectives. This role is responsible for driving delivery excellence across Tier 1 and Tier 2 business-critical products in a highly regulated GxP environment.
This role will collaborate closely with Business stakeholders, Product Owners, Architects, Engineering, Validation and Quality, Support and Operations teams , as well as implementation vendor partners to ensure successful execution of digital initiatives aligned with business goals, operational stability, compliance, and product strategy.
The ideal candidate will bring strong Agile delivery leadership, stakeholder management, operational governance, and experience managing globally distributed teams delivering transformational digital initiatives.
Key Responsibilities / How will you Contribute :
Product Strategy & Execution
- Support execution of the Digital Donor Center Operations portfolio strategy aligned with business and operational objectives.
- Develop and implement solution and technology roadmaps supporting business growth and operational goals.
- Partner with Product Managers, Architects, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to deliver modern digital solutions leveraging cloud, AI, automation, DevSecOps, and microservices architecture.
- Drive delivery excellence across business-critical products with focus on scalability, stability, compliance, operational efficiency, and user experience.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across Agile delivery, SDLC/AIDLC, operational governance, and release management.
- Provide input into annual IT budget planning for assigned functional areas.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Business, Product, Quality, Operations, Infrastructure, Security, Support, and vendor stakeholders.
- Lead globally distributed onsite/offshore cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Developers, Quality Engineers, Scrum teams, and Support organizations.
- Collaborate with Development, Operations, and Support teams to ensure smooth production transitions, operational continuity, incident management, and service stability.
- Coordinate with vendor partners and external teams to ensure successful execution aligned to delivery commitments and timelines.
- Manage governance reviews, stakeholder communication, delivery reporting, risks, dependencies, escalations, and project timelines.
- Collaborate with Quality stakeholders to ensure adherence to established validation, testing, SDLC, documentation, and compliance processes.
- Product Lifecycle & Delivery Management
- Lead end-to-end delivery management from planning through deployment and post-production stabilization.
- Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies including Scrum, sprint planning, backlog management, release governance, and iterative delivery practices.
- Establish metrics-driven delivery governance using Jira, Confluence, dashboards, and KPI reporting to support predictable delivery outcomes.
- Identify and mitigate delivery risks, operational issues, technical blockers, dependencies, and compliance gaps.
- Ensure successful handoff of deliverables into operations and support organizations.
- Partner with Operations and Support teams to drive operational readiness, problem resolution, and continuous service improvement.
- Support audit readiness and ensure compliance with GxP, FDA, EMA, validation, security, and governance standards.
Technology & Operational Excellence
- Ensure adherence to architecture standards, design principles, technical guidelines, and engineering best practices.
- Drive adoption of DevSecOps, CI/CD, automation, monitoring, observability, and operational governance practices.
- Support engineering teams in resolving technical challenges and improving delivery productivity.
- Establish, implement, and continuously improve software development lifecycle processes and engineering standards.
- Support implementation of AWS/cloud-native and microservices-based architectures.
- Utilize monitoring and messaging technologies including Kafka, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, and related tools.
Leadership & Team Management
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, operational ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and motivate globally distributed engineering and delivery teams.
- Supervise onsite and offshoreglobally distributed teams to ensure delivery excellence and effective resolution of technical blockers.
- Provide leadership during production incidents, escalations, audits, and major release activities.
- Influence stakeholders across all organizational levels to support transformational change initiatives.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in software delivery, Agile execution, or technology leadership roles managing globally distributed onsite/offshore teams.
- Experience managing Tier 1 and Tier 2 business-critical applications in regulated enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of GxP, FDA/EMA compliance standards, validation processes, audit readiness, and governance practices.
- Expertise in Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, sprint governance, backlog management, and release management.
- Strong experience using Jira, Confluence, dashboards, and reporting tools for delivery governance and KPI tracking.
- Experience collaborating with Operations and Support teams for incident management, operational governance, and production support.
- Experience with relational databases, AWS/cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Kafka, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical, technical problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, highly regulated, and compliance-driven environments.
Preferred Experience :
- 10+ years of IT software delivery experience with leadership responsibilities.
- 5+ years of experience leading globally distributed engineering and delivery teams.
- Experience in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or other regulated digital product organizations.
- Good understanding of digital technology platforms and their applicability to PDT operations.
- Experience in system testing, validation, release governance, training, and operational support models.
- Strong understanding of Agile transformation, Change Management, Project/Program Management, and enterprise delivery governance.
- Experience leading digital transformation initiatives involving donor-facing or healthcare platforms.
- Experience gathering, documenting, and translating business processes, objectives, specifications, and requirements for medium to large-scale initiatives.
- Strong leadership, coaching, self-management, team management, and stakeholder influencing capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, critical thinking, and business problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel regionally and globally as required.
