Role Description The Delivery Person role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting goods from the agency or designated warehouses, safely transporting them to customer locations, and ensuring accurate and timely delivery. The Delivery Person will verify delivery documentation, obtain necessary signatures, and handle cash or digital payments when required, following company procedures. The role also involves maintaining the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle, planning routes efficiently, and communicating with the office team about delivery status, delays, or issues. Friendly and professional interaction with customers and adherence to safety and traffic rules are expected at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid two-wheeler or light motor vehicle driving license and practical experience driving in city traffic.
- Ability to read and understand basic delivery instructions, invoices, and addresses in English or local language.
- Basic numerical skills for handling cash, checking quantities, and confirming orders.
- Good time management and route planning skills to complete multiple deliveries efficiently.
- Customer service mindset, with polite and professional behavior during interactions.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move packages of moderate weight safely.
- Reliability, honesty, and willingness to follow company policies and safety guidelines.
- Prior experience in delivery or logistics is an advantage but not mandatory; training can be provided.
