SmarTek21 is looking for a Director- Delivery to lead strategic client engagements and oversee the successful delivery of a portfolio of programs and projects. This role requires a senior leader who can drive delivery excellence, build strong client partnerships, support business growth through pre-sales, and guide cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact technology solutions.
The ideal candidate will combine strong delivery leadership, client engagement skills, and pre-sales experience, while ensuring alignment between delivery execution, client outcomes, and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for a portfolio of programs and projects, ensuring successful end-to-end delivery.
- Drive delivery excellence across the SDLC, including planning, execution, release management, and continuous improvement.
- Establish and maintain delivery governance frameworks, program health tracking, and risk management processes.
- Oversee multiple cross-functional teams, including engineering, QA, product, DevOps, and program management.
- Ensure delivery alignment with client goals, product roadmaps, and business priorities.
- Monitor program health, resource utilization, delivery metrics, and quality standards.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, building strong long-term relationships.
- Lead executive-level client engagements, including steering committees, program reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
- Drive client satisfaction, engagement success, and long-term partnership growth.
- Identify opportunities to expand engagements and support account growth initiatives.
- Partner with sales teams to support pre-sales efforts, RFP responses, and solution proposals.
- Lead client discovery sessions, solution workshops, and technical discussions.
- Contribute to solution architecture, delivery approach, and resourcing strategy during the sales cycle.
- Support development of SOWs, delivery models, and engagement frameworks.
- Help position the organization’s delivery capabilities and technology expertise to prospective clients.
- Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly delivery and program performance reports to clients and executive leadership.
- Track and report KPIs, including delivery milestones, risks, financials, and operational performance.
- Manage escalations, risks, and issue resolution across complex engagements.
- Leverage Jira and related delivery tools for backlog management, sprint tracking, release planning, and reporting.
- Drive process improvements, delivery automation, and operational efficiencies across programs.
Skill Requirements
- 12–15+ years of experience in software delivery, program management, or technology leadership roles.
- Proven track record in managing large enterprise client engagements and multi-project delivery portfolios.
- Strong experience across Agile, Scrum, and hybrid SDLC models.
- Extensive experience using Jira for program management, reporting, and delivery governance.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with senior client stakeholders and lead strategic discussions.
- Experience supporting pre-sales, solution design, RFP responses, and proposal development.
- Strong experience managing distributed, global delivery teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery oversight.
- Experience in consulting, digital transformation, or product engineering services environments is highly preferred.
- Certifications such as PMP, SAFe, or Agile certifications are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage 24x7 or extended hours service environments.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
