Duties
Coordinates and directs customer-facing elements of J6 for current and future operations.,Assists the Enterprise Operations Office Chief, while exercising leadership and managerial skills to direct, consolidate, and improve customer relationship management from initial customer interaction to order fulfillment and satisfaction.,Provides recommendations regarding future direction for improving business processes, organizational structures, developing concepts impacting long and short-term policy, goals, objectives, and methods to achieve them.,Reviews short and long-range telecommunications, information processing systems, service directorate support system modernization plans, and programs for enhancing the customer experience by improving customer products, services, and support.,Ensures excellence in customer service by applying knowledge and competence in the principal areas of products and services, customer relationship management, incident management, customer-facing service delivery, communications, and training.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Basic Requirements: Attention to Detail - experience reviewing my own information technology-related work or data and have been responsible for reviewing the work of others to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standards. Customer Service - developing and maintaining relationships with customers, anticipating and assessing the current and future information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products or services that are tailored to meet customer needs. Oral Communication - briefing senior-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of complex technical information to a non-technical audience. Problem Solving - identifying alternatives to address unique, highly complex, or sensitive information technology-related issues. I have anticipated information technology-related problems and have identified and evaluated potential sources of information to generate alternative solutions. In addition to meeting the basic requirement, applicants must possess qualifying experience. Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-15, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience leading people and providing strategic guidance to develop innovative solutions; collaborating with internal and external partners to support workforce modernization; and adjusting to changing environments to seize new opportunities. Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement.
Education
There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-15 grade level.
Other Information
This position is in the Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It is being recruited under 10 U.S.C. 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system. If you are a current Federal Career/Career-Conditional employee, you will be placed on an Excepted appointment. This appointment does not confer eligibility to be non-competitively converted to an appointment in the competitive service. A three year trial period may be required if you have not previously completed a trial or probationary period in the excepted or competitive service. This position is subject to completion of 1 year probationary period for assignment to a supervisory position. Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Telework availability will be based upon the mission requirements and supervisory determination. Incumbent will be required to travel away from their normal duty station to other locations within the United States (CONUS) and/or locations outside the continental United States (OCONUS) up to 30 percent of the time. Individuals tentatively selected for drug testing designated positions at the Defense Information Systems Agency MAY be required to submit to urinalysis for illegal drugs prior to appointment or placement. This is a covered position and the person selected for this position must complete an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report within 30 days of appointment pursuant to 5 CFR 2634.903(b) (DoD 5500.7).
