Duties
Perform duties associated with the receipt, turn-in and issue/shipment of a variety of supplies, materials, and equipment.,Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments manually, by handcarts, and other non-mechanized conveyances, or by operation with a forklift.,Receive both posted and un-posted items to include safeguarding Cold-Chain Management and Temperature Sensitive Medical Products (TSMP), Class I and Class II controlled substances, hazardous chemicals and compressed gases.,Operate electric, gasoline and/or diesel-powered vehicles with gross vehicle weights not to exceed Class 6 (GVW 19,501 to 26,000 pounds).,Operate a 2K forklift truck capable of lifting loads up to 4,000 pounds and as high as 30'.,Serve as the organization's alternate Mail Assistant performing various duties which include the accountability, safeguarding, and maintaining of registers for incoming and outgoing certified, insured, and registered mail.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) MATERIALS HANDLER (MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR/FORKLIFT OPERATOR) ~ without more than normal supervision. Qualified candidates for the Materials Handler (MVO/FLO), must have the ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision such as the ability to perform common warehouse activities, collect, receive, store, select, issue, transport, and ship materials, supplies, and/or equipment. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
