The Director, Defence Electronics & Applications Laboratory (DEAL), Dehradun, a premier laboratory of Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for filling up the following posts of Scientist/Engineer 'B' at DEAL, Dehradun. The vacancies are in the Pay Level-10 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix (with initial pay of Rs.56,100/-) plus usual allowances as admissible to Central Government employees. The details of the posts are as under: Name of the Post : Scientist/Engineer 'B' No. of Vacancies : 43 Educational Qualification & Experience : First Class Master's Degree in Engineering/ Technology in the following disciplines with minimum 60% marks from a recognized University/Institution: Electronics & Communication Engineering/Electrical & Electronics Engineering/Computer Science & Engineering/Information Technology. Upper Age Limit : 28 years as on the closing date of application Desired Skills & Knowledge: Experience in the field of Hardware Design, Firmware/Software Design, Testing & Integration of Embedded Systems, Communication & Networking, Signal Processing, Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence. Preference will be given to candidates having experience in any of the following areas: (a) Hardware Design & Development of Electronics Systems (b) Firmware/Software Design & Development of Embedded Systems (c) Testing & Integration of Hardware & Software (d) Communication & Networking (e) Signal Processing (f) Machine Learning, Computer Vision & Artificial Intelligence (g) Knowledge of Hardware Description Languages like VHDL/Verilog (h) Experience in Simulation Tools like MATLAB/Simulink (i) Development of Applications in the field of Radar, Sonar, EW, Data Link & Communication Systems Job Responsibilities: (a) Design, Development & Testing of Embedded Systems for Defence Applications (b) Algorithm Development and its implementation in Hardware/Software (c) Integration of Hardware & Software for Functional Validation (d) Handling Design Tools & Techniques for System Implementation (e) Testing & Evaluation of Embedded Systems (f) Liaisoning with user agencies and System Integrators.
